The Ryuo Festival begins with solemn Shinto rituals in the Ryuo Valley, shifting its venue to the Kinugawa Onsen district at night for the mikoshi (portable shrine) procession.
Festival Highlights: Enjoy the traditional mikoshi procession, vibrant local performing arts stages, and a wide variety of festival food stalls (yatai).
Mikoshi Participation: With advance registration, women can also participate by helping carry the mikoshi during the procession.
